I can’t believe that we’re going into the sixth month for 2017 already! It feels like just the other day we were picking out planners and setting fresh goals for the year ahead. The year is simply flying by! I personally find June to be a manic month. I’m in high school, and my exam period is pretty much the entire month, so I think it’s safe to say that it can be quite a stressful time. I find that during these periods, the thing that helps me to stay calm and level-headed is being organised.
When I was asked me to style the June calendar, I jumped at the opportunity. I love the Mono Shop’s simple, yet classy ranges, and the calendars are so functional and aesthetically pleasing.
I wanted to do something a little different with the calendar this month. I’ve always been a bit of a DIY-fanatic, although nowadays I tend to dwell more painting and drawing than crafting, but I thought I’d put some of my old DIY skills to use.
To make this hanging calendar, I used:
- Your free June downloadable calendar
- Two bamboo chopsticks
I simply trimmed the calendar down to size a spot, then glued down the top and bottom edges of the calendar over the chop sticks and lastly, tied the string to each end of the top chop stick so that it would be able to hang.
I hope that June is a productive month for you!
